What renting moving boxes actually means
Instead of buying a pile of cardboard, you rent sturdy lidded plastic totes for a set number of days. We deliver them empty, you pack, you move, you unpack, and we come get the empty stack. Our large totes are Project Source Commander 27-gallon black totes with yellow lids, and we also rent a separate set of HDX Defender 6.5-quart clear weatherproof latching totes for the small stuff.
Around Swansea, Lexington, Cayce, West Columbia and Columbia, that means no box store run, no tape gun, and no flattening boxes on the back porch for a week after the move.

Totes vs cardboard: where each one wins
Cardboard wins if you are moving over months, want to keep the boxes afterward, or only need a handful. Totes win when the move is on a schedule, the weather might turn, or you are tired of boxes crushing at the bottom of the stack.
- Totes stack flush in the truck, so loading goes faster and nothing caves in.
- Lids snap on. No tape, and a summer storm will not turn the bottom of a box to mush.
- Handles on every tote make stairs and long carries easier.
- When the move is done, we haul them off. Cardboard is yours to break down.
How the drop-off and pickup work
You reserve online and send both addresses. We confirm the exact count, delivery window, route price and tax before collecting the $50 hold. On delivery day the empty stack shows up with the Tote Taxi cart, ties and labels. Need more time? Another week is $30 when arranged before pickup.
Moving to North Carolina or Georgia? We can still pick up at the new place. Drive time and gas are added to the route price and shown to you before you pay.
